A Special Thanks

Last Sunday evening the young people went to visit Fritz and Patty Metzger.  We  had  a  period of singing and prayer.  It was a good evening as we spent time visiting.  It was so good to see Patty doing so much better.  I want to say thanks to Fritz and Patty for allowing us to visit, the young people for their eagerness to go and their beautiful singing, Lance for driving the van, Gayle and Wava for going, and Laura and Amy for taking care of the food.  There is a devotional scheduled for March 30 that needs a host family.  Please let me know if you can do it.

Makin’ Music

This year there is not an organized trip to FHU for Makin’ Music, but don’t let that stop you from going.  If you want to go, call FHU at 1-800-FHU-FHU1 and order tickets.  You need to do this ASAP because tickets are going fast.  They are $15 per ticket.

A Wonderful Trip

On February 23, I was privileged to preach for the Red Walnut congregation in Bath Springs,  TN.  This is the congregation where my grandfather served as an elder for many years, and where he and my grandmother raised their three sons.  I have preached there once when I was about twelve, once when I was in college, and this time.  Many members of my family were present.  I had my grandparents, my dad and his wife, Luke, Stacie, and my nieces, several of my great aunts, and several cousins, as well as my college roommate his wife and little girl in attendance.  It was a day that I will never forget.  I am thankful to the elders at Red Walnut for the invitation, and the elders here for letting me go.

I went to Memphis to see my mom, and there were two ice storms that kept me in Memphis  until Thursday. I am very glad to be back and look forward to seeing you Sunday.

  In Him,

  Craig
