Fruit Baskets

A couple of weeks ago there were 115 fruit  baskets made and delivered by our members.  It is encouraging to see so many members of the body of Christ working together to benefit others.  Delivering of fruit baskets involves many different jobs for it to turn out right.  The list has to be  compiled, the food must be ordered and picked up, the young children get together to make the turkey nametags, a group of adults put all of the baskets together, several adult drivers drive the teenagers around to deliver the fruit baskets, and other members take baskets to deserving people.  I enjoy this every year and I want to thank everyone involved.

Young Men Conducting Services

Last Sunday evening we were blessed to have the young men lead us in our worship service.  Alex Appleton, Chris Philips, and Derek Vaughn led singing; Andy Harrington, Drew Cordle, Gary McCaleb, and Levi Thompson read scripture (Levi also led prayer); and Devin Hall preached a message from God’s word.  Each one  did  an excellent job.  I  believe that everyone  was blessed by being here.  For the next month the Lord’s Supper table will be served by several of our young men.  Let’s encourage them as they lead in service.

Youth Devotional

I want to thank David and Shannon Spicer for hosting the youth devotional last Sunday evening.  They did a great job as always. We had a very good turnout for this devotional.  I am always thankful for the families that open up their homes to the young people.

******

I was blessed last week to go to Memphis and visit with my family for several days.  It was hectic as usual, but my family all seems to be doing pretty well.  Please keep my dad in your prayers, he recently underwent another procedure for kidney stones, and my grandparents are both sick.  Please keep them in your prayers.  It is very good to be back.

  In Him,

  Craig
