Thanks

     A special thanks to Chris and Kelly Smith for opening up their home Sunday evening.  There was a very good group of young people present.  I also want to thank all of the adults (Jeff and Cheryl Hall, Kyle and Joy Farris, and Amy Phillips) who prepared food and stayed through the activity.  Remember the next devotional date is February 16.  If you are willing to host it please let me know ASAP. 

FHU Lectures

     Next week, Lord willing, I will attend the FHU lectures.  The lectureship is one of my favorite weeks every year.  I look forward to sitting at the feet of godly men as they impart God’s word.  I hope that some of you are able to make the trip to FHU for this wonderful week.

     In the last few weeks there have been several important dates set for 2003.

¨         Marshall County WorkCamp-June 9-13

¨         WKYC begins-June 15

¨         Horizons High School-July 6-11

¨         Horizons Middle School-July 13-18

¨         SYS Hosted by Calvert-August 5

¨         Fall Creek Falls Retreat-Oct. 5-8 

    It is very important that you keep up with  these dates and plan for them.  For many of these there will be a sign-up list a month or so before in order to attend.  If you want to find a way to be involved with any of these, please let me know.

    Please keep me in your prayers as I travel l to Henderson next week and as I prepare my lesson for this Sunday evening.  I am proud to be a part of the Calvert church and I greatly anticipate the work that can be done this year.
